Well, that was last week, definitely a "journey through the past" for many of us who watched PBS specials with highlights 60. Start with "No Direction Home," a documentary about Bob Dylan, helped to set the scene in what. A rare look at the life and times of the private and modest man a special experience for me. Biaza Joan had made the observation that "goes down really deep" for those of us who are fansDylan. This is very true and sometimes hard to others, do not share, to explain the mood. But one thing is certain, as a musician and songwriter, we can all learn something from him. What stands out most clearly on Bob Dylan in my head, is the fact that he himself always true and someone put in a box. When others wanted to take his torch or to advocate for their cause, has remained below its course and its own way. He knew who he was and as a result, manymore people listen to his music and message performance. Bob Dylan carried the torch and turned out to be lighter and stronger than all the others that came before him.

actually a pun - "Best" refers to Pete
Best, former drummer of the Beatles. It 'was interesting to hear the family story told once again through the eyes of Pete Best himself. A good person iscould not help but regret missing some of the most popular bands in the history of rock n 'roll. But can you imagine if the group was John, Paul, George and Pete? Nee ... I do not think so.
Revolution and anarchy made the week. We have seen the idealism of the '60s turn into disappointment for the end of the decade. After years of struggle for peace, the hopes of the assassination of Bobby Kennedy and Martin Luther King have been strengthened. Abandonment, tuningout, the increased use of drugs of any signs of an unhappy, unhealthy society hours blurred dream. Some good came from this time though. From George Harrison and his relief activities in Concert for Bangledesh started by musicians to be made to
The money for those in need. We have seen the formation of "Band Aid", and an idea of Bob Dylan, Nelson come to life with the help of Willie. Lasts up to date to raise fundsthrough annual benefit concerts on behalf of the farmers who struggle many inmates in our nation.
There is so much here to reflect and think about it! Music
Musicians can make a difference. Some of the most important
The lessons I learned from famous musicians and songwriters of this week are:
be real.
Do not compromise.
Put your heart into it.
And always keep your eyes open for opportunities to help others in need.
With these things in mind, perhaps mytheir music (and you) can play a part in making the world a better place.
