The case of Rubber Soul
Arguably the best songs of Rubber Soul Classics are larger than the best songs of Revolver. They are certainly well known.
"Drive My Car," "Norwegian Wood", "Nowhere Man", "Michelle", "Girl," "I'm Looking Through You" and "In My Life" is an incredible group of songs to be included for all a album. The album is almost hear a "Greatest Hits" compilation, sometimes because it contains so many legendary songs. And whileRevolver (deservedly) receives more praise for its innovative production and arrangements. Rubber Soul credit for introducing the sitar (played by George Harrison in "Norwegian Wood") to the Western world.
It 's also a case of Rubber Soul in fact a "closed" sound to it. It is' backward grass affected "a sort of sound on most of the album. While on the other side of Revolver more like 14 completely different trip, including all the sounds of an album(The even be positive depending on your taste).
The case of revolver
It 's definitely a more consistent album. It has no weak songs almost like "What Goes On" (one of the worst Beatles songs ever recorded.) "Wait" and "Run For Your Life" are also faint traces. In comparison I do not think gun has no weak songs, even when I feel they are certainly not always in the mood, "Yellow Submarine" - there is still a classic.
The main tower is the variety of topicsthe song (like many different styles all done to perfection) and the innovative experiments ("Tomorrow Never Knows" is the most obvious example, but it is actually the entire album.)
My conclusion
Revolver win this battle rather than practical, in my opinion. While "Here, There, & Everywhere," "For No One", "She Said She Said" and "Doctor Robert" is not as good as some of the classic Rubber Soul to be known, I think they are definitely the same good. Plus I did notalso mentioned the wonderful "Eleanor Rigby", or at least the fact that George Harrison is becoming well with this album as a songwriter ("Taxman," "I Want To Tell You" and "Love You To.) Speaking of" Love You To "- There's one of my favorites of the album is noteworthy for taking the Indian influence to the next level.
09/09/2009 - Both albums are included in 2009 both mono and stereo CD Box Set The Beatles, released on September 9 with. Both albumsare absolutely essential for any fan of the Beatles collection.
